Coshocton art featured at ARTSNCT

NEWCOMERSTOWN Consider it an explosion of color and artistic ability.
Artists of the Coshocton County Artist Cooperative are being featured in February at ARTSNCT in Newcomerstown and kicked off the display with an event on Feb. 1.
The Coshocton County Artist Cooperative exhibit included works by Lynn Fraelich, Melissa Maxwell, Debbie Haines, Lois Merrill, Jessica Rohr, Shara, Lois Stubbs, Rose Mary Ludt, Ernest Galajda, Ester Maire Versch, Barbara Hill Rickman, Ron Cummings, Carole Ann Hunt, Betty Jo Taylor, James Huff and Sally Emslie.
“As soon as we announced that Coshocton Country Artist Cooperative was to be ARTSNCT’s featured for February, the buzz started,” said Michael Wise, director of ARTSNCT. “This talented group of artists has a following and people were very excited. At the height of the artists reception, we were filled to capacity with art lovers from all over the state. That’s good for us and good for Newcomerstown.”
ARTSNCT is a non-profit created by Wise to showcase local artistic talent, provide workshops for aspiring artists and present community-based programs.
“Next up at ARTSNCT is one of those community-based programs, called ‘The Feud,’ a monthly game show loosely based on TV’s Family Feud.
“We will have two wild and crazy teams battling it out this month,” Wise said, “Teams from the Newcomerstown Emergency Rescue Squad, the Hydrant Hookers vs. the Bingo Babes, will begin competing at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The show is free and open to the public.
ARTSNCT is currently signing up performers for its second annual Elizabeth Norman Celebration of the Piano. A concert of all ages and all skill levels will be presented at ARTSNCT on National Piano Day, Saturday, March 28, from 2-4 pm. The concert is also free and open to the public.
